Our Lowcountry marshes are an ever changing saturation of color and texture that lure me to try and capture their splendor with oil paint and brush. In the fall, the marsh grasses become golden across the tops as the temperatures start to decline. But, winter is short here and the new green growth pushes upward. Before long, bands of interesting color form. As the summer rains arrive, the marsh transforms into a sea of green...followed by the start of the amazing color cycle that nature has created, once again.
